Brief:
In advance of a pitch to potential investors I was asked to help develop a pop-up store concept. The goal was an urban and airy space that showcased the clean modern lines of the products in development (KODO), as well as the company’s commitment to sustainable Cross-Laminated Timber.
During a two week sprint, I worked with the Creative Lead and Industrial Designers to design the space, incorporate the brand into the architecture, and create conceptual imagery of finished installation.
We took our inspiration from pop-ups such as the Tesla Design Studio and Pantone Cafe in Monaco.

The architecture of the space featured heavy use of Cross Laminated Timber (CLT), wide open glass storefront, and a suspended panel of CLT. Conceptually the space was imagined at the base of a mixed-use commercial or luxury residential building.
The KODO brand and product lines were well underway by time we started work on the pop-up concept. The stylish and exhaustive Branding below was created by Julie Adams, both a dynamo and tenacious creative. The clean and elegant brand work easily translated into architectural details within the space, such as the CNC’d logo within the mass timber panels.
